How do I use third-party
ad code with the Advanced Ad Serving Code? Note:
The following requires version 1.2.3 and higher of Ban Man Pro.
Email us if you need to upgrade to this version. |
| In version 1.2.3
and higher of Ban Man Pro we have added better support for third-party ad
code. Here is information on how to implement the code from some of
the more popular Ad Networks.
|
| BurstMedia
Code |
Add BurstMedia code using the
following methodology:
- Create A new banner using the Advanced
option
- Select an Advertiser and Enter a
description
- Copy and paste the BurstMedia code into
the Ban Man Pro Ad Code box.
- Do NOT check the "Use in Netscape
4" box as this code does not work in Netscape 4.
- Specify the Image source which is used
for Non-Javascript browsers and Netscape 4. You can obtain this
from the BurstMedia code by viewing the code in the <noscript>
section near the end.
- Specify the target URL. This also
appears near the end of the code in the <noscript>
section.
- Specify the width and height of the ad
(Almost always 468 X 60)
Note: We cannot track
click-through counts for BurstMedia code for IE3-5. Clicks will be
counted only for Netscape. Also, Rich Media ads will only be served
to IE browsers and not Netscape.

| Flycast
Code |
Add FlyCast code using the
following methodology:
- Create A new banner using the Advanced
option
- Select an Advertiser and Enter a
description
- Copy and paste the Flycast code into the
Ban Man Pro Ad Code box.
- Do NOT check the "Use in Netscape
4" box as this code does not work in Netscape 4.
- Specify the Image source which is used
for Non-Javascript browsers and Netscape 4. You can obtain this
from the FlyCast code by viewing the code in the <noscript>
section near the end.
- Specify the target URL. This also
appears near the end of the code in the <noscript>
section.
- Specify the width and height of the ad
(Almost always 468 X 60)
Note: We cannot track
click-through counts for FlyCast code for IE3-5. Clicks will
be counted only for Netscape. Also, Rich Media ads will only be
served to IE browsers and not Netscape.

| LinkShare
Code |
You must add Link Share code in
Ban Man Pro using the Advanced Banner Option. Follow these steps
precisely:
- Create A new banner using the Advanced
option
- Select an Advertiser and Enter a
description
- Copy and paste the LinkShare code into
the Ban Man Pro Ad Code box.
- Check the "Use in Netscape 4"
box as this code works fine in Netscape 4.
- Specify the Image source which is used
for Non-Javascript browsers. You can obtain this from the
LinkShare code by finding the first occurrence of the word SRC.
- Specify the target URL. This
appears in the Link Share code like... <a href="http://www.targeturl..."
- Specify the width and height of the ad.
- Lastly, if you want to track the click-throughs
for the Link Share code you must do the following. In the Ad
Code box, replace the target URL in the Link Share code with the
following [BanManProURL] and you MUST include the brackets and you
must capitalize the appropriate letters as in this example. Ban
Man Pro will then dynamically insert the target URL which will allow
you to track clicks. The Link Share code will now begin
something like this.... <a href="[BanManProURL]"
